L-mount
The L-mount is a lens mount originally developed by Leica for its SL mirrorless cameras but adopted by Panasonic and Sigma for use on their own cameras and lenses. The three companies make up the ‘L-mount Alliance’. Leica makes full frame SL series mirrorless cameras, Panasonic makes Lumix S mirrorless cameras, and Sigma makes the compact Sigma fp, a hybrid stills video camera that also uses the L-mount system. Leica makes a number of premium L-mount prime and zoom lenses, Sigma makes an increasingly larger number of prime lenses for the L-mount format and Panasonic makes its own L-mount lenses. All three are theoretically compatible with each other.
