Panoramic head

A panoramic head is a tripod head that’s been specially adapted for panoramic photography, where overlapping images are captured side by side and stitched together later on a computer. Panoramic heads have markings (in degrees) on the pan axis to help with image alignment and overlaps, and offer forward and back adjustments to the camera position to get the camera’s optical center aligned with the panning movement.
