TTL (through the lens)

TTL stands for ‘through the lens’ and can apply to a number of camera functions. For example, DSLRs and mirrorless cameras have TTL (through the lens) viewing systems, automatic flash systems use TTL (through the lens) flash measurements and adjustments, and modern cameras use TTL (through the lens) exposure measurements.
